Great stuff, personalised service. We got a free executive room upgrade and enjoyed it.
-
Repairs are tired. The cabinet is uncomfortable.
-
Great location, nice staff, great afternoon tea!
Very loud and old air conditioning. Unfortunately it was very cold in the room (winter trip), because the air conditioning took 3 hours to warm up the temperature from the initial 19 to 21 degrees.
-
The bathroom had no heating. The marble floor was cold. Showering is only possible standing in the bathtub.
-
Television too high and at an awkward angle to watch from bed.

I emailed reservations 24 hours before my Mums stay explaining it was her 60th birthday and could we check in a bit early. I received a delightful email welcoming us for her stay. Then we arrived at 11am on Saturday morning and were offered coffee and biscuits while her room was prepared. Then we were shown up to the room and 15 minutes later a birthday cake was brought to the room. Absolutely stunning service, staff were great. Would definitely stay here for a special occasion again

I booked a double superior room more than two months prior to check in date and I was shocked to learn when checking in to the room that it was standard one in a 4 stars hotel type !! So I asked one of the staff members who happened to be in the 3rd floor accidentally about the room class and he confirmed to me that it was a standard type room. I went down to the reception once again and asked the receptionist to commit to the reservation and should provide me me with the agreed room type as per my booking terms and the the large amount of money I was charged for. The response was confusing as once she told me that the room that I was given is superior double and once she said that the hotel is fully booked !! With my surprise from the strange answers I am getting and my continuance insistence to replace the room she told me later that there was a better room available but I had to pay an extra 100 pound per night that acounts for 600 pound in total for the entire period of my stay. Under my wondering and dissatisfaction I had to pay the additional amount and replaced the room. I don't recommend this hotel due to credibility issues. During my stay for 6 nights I couldn't even once attend the hotel's cafe located in the lobby as it was crowded all the time. When I asked the Cafe's receptionist about a vacant table he was always making excuses of fully booked type although I am staying in the same hotel !! Very disappointing experience in that hotel .. No value for money .. Too expensive .. Could have stayed with half expenses in another 5 star hotel with a better service.

The hotel is Stunning. Our room was beautiful. Spotlessly clean. The spa was a delightful way to spend a couple of hours. Very central location.
I was a bit put out by the fact that we were not informed of road work noise, when we asked about this we received little response to this. I had booked the room for my daughters 30th birthday. I e.mailed the hotel after the booking was made and requested a bottle of Champagne to be put in our room prior to our check in. This was not done. When I went to reception to reception to ask why this wasn't done I wasn't offered an explanation. They then wanted to put one in the room. I refused ths as it was meant as a surprise. We were then offered a complimentary glass of champagne in the bar. Does not really compensate for their huge oversight. We went out and had our champagne elsewhere. When we returned to the room they had put a bottle there. Too litte too late. On checkout I was billed r the champagne, which I refused to pay for. I would of expected better fom a hotel of this calibre. The road works and the champagne incident took the shine out of the stay

comfort of the room, atmosphere and excellent food
-
Everything, except it has no swiming pool the location which by itself is excellent but fair for vacationers
The room provided had no view
-
The staff from start to finish could not have been more helpful ,we were able to leave our vehicle and luggage in their capable hands prior to actually checking in whilst we went sightseeing. Nothing was too much trouble and their demeanor was of genuine and friendly professionalism of the highest order. Everything about the hotel was immaculate from the room to the public areas.
This is the first hotel in which I have stayed where there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room which I found unusual.

The service was excellent. The grill room restaurant inside the hotel was excellent and the service superb
We ate one night at the chinese restaurant inside the hotel and it was very disappointing. They gave away our table that we had reserved, the food was bland and the service not up to the standards of the Dorchester. We would not eat there again.
